I like how you are trying to keep the culture of the product while making it an american product. I like the idea of using the wood because not only will it sophisticate the design but it is part of the japanese culture.
I like logo that u create on the upper right image and the bottom but the upper left one is kind of hard to imagine as water in japanese character. I really like wood container as well.
